Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Amber renew 10-year partnership

Amber and Glamorgan County Cricket Club are delighted to announce the renewal of their 10-year-long partnership.

Amber became the official energy partner of Glamorgan Country Cricket Club back in 2012 and have since been working extremely hard to ensure that the club buys and uses energy as efficiently as it possibly can.

Hayley Dimech-Jackson, Account Manager at Amber, said:

“Over the years, we have developed a strong procurement strategy for the Sophia Gardens Stadium, and we’re extremely proud of the work we’ve done with them so far. But, moving forwards, our ambition is to support Glamorgan in their goal of becoming one of the most sustainable cricket clubs in the country.

Dan Cherry, Head of Operations at Glamorgan Cricket, said:

“Amber has provided us with invaluable support over the last 10 years, especially during lockdown and the pandemic period more generally, so we’re delighted to be renewing with them.

“As a club, we are fully committed to reducing the size of our carbon footprint: a goal which Amber, as our official energy partner, will be helping us to achieve during the next stage of our partnership.”
