Our round-up of Amberfest 2023…

Last week we held Amberfest 2023 at Out to Grass in the Malvern Hills. It was the third time we’ve thrown our three-day festival and it definitely lived up to our previous celebrations. We love throwing Amberfest as it’s an opportunity for our staff up and down the country to come together for the weekend to celebrate with their friends and family.

Amberfest gives our team the choice to either pitch a tent for the weekend and get stuck in, or hire one of our luxurious glamping tents. We even had some flashy motorhomes join us this year in the camping field. The weekend combines the classic festival vibes of pitching up in a field, without having to compromise on home comforts such as full bathroom facilities, running water, some delicious food and drink, all topped off with some fantastic music (and company).

This is the second time we’ve held the event at Out to Grass, and just as last year, they were great to work with. The venue itself is the perfect backdrop to our celebrations, and displays the beauty of the Malvern Hills in all it’s glory. After crossing our fingers and toes the previous week, we were lucky to have the best weather we could have wished for.

The activities throughout the weekend involved storytellers, yoga, meditation, live bands and a DJ, arts and crafts sessions, a woodland walk, and of course an Amberfest wouldn’t be complete without our Sports Day. This was a highlight with kids and adults joining together to create teams and participate in old school games like a three-legged race, bean bag race, relay, egg and spoon race, and a sack race.

We were also treated to some amazing live music throughout the weekend with a variety of bands and DJs taking to the main stage over the two days. The legendary ‘Turnaround’ did their first performance ever on the main stage. As the band was made up of a group of 12-year old aspiring musicians, this was a huge step for them but they smashed it out of the park with some amazing vocals and a great setlist.

As always, the food was a highlight, with The Panteg Pizza Co. treating us on not one but two days. Their stone-baked pizzas have never failed to be a huge hit, and at Amberfest this was no exception. We also had a visit from the ice cream man who kept kids, adults, and even dogs happy on a sweltering day.

We’d like to thank all of our amazing team, and their family and friends, for joining us to make Amberfest the weekend that it was.

See you next year!
