B Corp

In December 2020, we became a certified B Corporation; one of the first energy consultancies in the UK to do so.

“This is much more than a certification for us. The day we became an official B Corp was one of our proudest ever.

We are delighted to be joining this fast-growing community of businesses who share our values and, like us, believe in putting the needs of the planet above profit.

Since 2009, it has been our ambition to fix utilities, save the planet and make people happy; but while becoming a Certified B Corporation symbolises our commitment to sustainability and society, our journey does not and cannot end here.

This is very much the start of something special for us.”

What is a B Corp?

Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. They meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

To date, there are more than 3,000 B Corps in 130 industries and 60 countries around the world.

Business as a positive force

We believe that business can be a force for good in the world and are fully committed to the B Corp mission.

As members, we are legally committed to prioritising our responsibility to the environment and society – and this is reflected in all things Amber, from the services we provide to the partners we work with.

Doing good, not just looking good

There are loads of sustainability certifications out there, so it can be hard to tell which ones carry any weight.

So, to maintain the highest possible standards, Certified B Corporations are reassessed continuously and are required to pass the recertification process every 3 years.
